12KV Substation Class Surge Arrester

This is a 12KV Substation Class Surge Arrester, of the Y10ZW series, produced by the SARAH Electric factory. When working in medium and high voltage power systems, you can use this product to protect key equipment such as transformers, switch cabinets, and transmission lines from damage caused by lightning or operational overvoltages. This product is equipped with a polymer (silicone rubber) outer casing, featuring excellent resistance to pollution, UV radiation, and aging, and is suitable for outdoor harsh environments.

Product features

The 12KV Substation Class Surge Arrester is equipped with high-quality zinc oxide valve plates, featuring rapid response, low residual voltage and high protection level. It can effectively absorb overvoltage energy.

The polymer coating is resistant to dirt, ultraviolet rays, and temperature variations. It is suitable for complex environments such as coastal areas, industrial pollution zones, and high-altitude regions.

The bottom is equipped with metal flanges or bolt holes, allowing for horizontal or vertical installation, and is suitable for various substation frameworks or equipment foundations.

Application

The 12KV Substation Class Surge Arrester is used for overvoltage protection of equipment such as main transformers, busbars, circuit breakers, and disconnectors.

This product can be used for lightning protection of overhead lines and cable terminals.

Power distribution system protection for large factories, mines, ports and other places.

Used for protection of the booster stations and the output ends of inverters in wind power and photovoltaic power stations.

Function

1. Limit the dangerous high voltages such as lightning strikes, operational overvoltages, and resonant overvoltages within the safe range that the equipment insulation can withstand.

2. When lightning strikes, it instantly conducts electricity, allowing the lightning current to be discharged into the ground, thereby protecting transformers, switches, busbars, transformers, etc.

3. When the system voltage is normal, it provides high-resistance insulation, which does not conduct electricity, does not generate heat, and does not consume power.

4. Once the overvoltage disappears, the insulation state will be restored immediately without the need for manual reset.

5. It is specifically designed to protect all the critical electrical equipment within the substation, hence it is called a substation type.

Application (covers 3 to 220 kV)
