24KV HRC Current-limiting Fuse

Are you still worried about the short-circuit and overload protection of the 24kV distribution system? Still struggling with the issues of incorrect fuse selection, inaccurate protection, and untimely delivery? Choose SARAH Electric as your supplier, our XRNP/XRNT series of advanced 24KV HRC Current-limiting Fuses are products tailored for medium voltage distribution systems! If you need to purchase 24kV XRNP/XRNT series high-voltage current limiting fuses or have customized needs, please feel free to contact us at any time!

The SARAH Electric advanced 24KV HRC Current-limiting Fuse is a core protective device suitable for 11-36kV medium voltage distribution systems. It is mainly used to protect high-voltage electrical equipment such as voltage transformers, distribution transformers, and capacitor banks. In the event of a short circuit or overload fault in the circuit, the fuse is instantly melted and current is limited, quickly cutting off the fault current and preventing the accident from expanding. It is an indispensable safety barrier in medium voltage distribution systems.

The product adopts a fully enclosed epoxy ceramic tube body and high-purity silver alloy fuse structure, with built-in arc extinguishing quartz sand. It has excellent current limiting and breaking ability, fast breaking speed, strong arc extinguishing performance, and complies with domestic and foreign standards such as IEC and GB. It can be directly used in various scenarios such as indoor switchgear, ring main units, and outdoor pole mounted transformers.

Core Advantages

The maximum breaking current can reach 50kA, which can cut off short-circuit current in milliseconds, greatly reducing the impact of short-circuit current on equipment and avoiding the burning of valuable equipment such as transformers and switchgear;

The 24KV HRC Current-limiting Fuse is made of high-precision alloy material, with stable operating characteristics, precise overload protection, no misoperation or refusal to move, and matches the protection requirements of voltage transformers, transformers and other equipment;

Built in high-purity arc extinguishing quartz sand, quickly extinguishing the arc generated by melting, eliminating the risk of reignition, and ensuring safe and explosion free breaking process without open flames.

The epoxy ceramic pipe body has excellent insulation performance, moisture-proof, antifouling and anti-aging, and is suitable for indoor and outdoor environments, with a service life of more than 20 years;

The 24KV HRC Current limiting Fuse adopts industry standard installation dimensions and can directly replace domestic and foreign brand products of the same specifications without the need to modify the switchgear, making installation convenient;

Wide Scene Adaptability

Voltage Transformer Protection (XRNP Series): Designed specifically for voltage transformers, with low rated current (0.5-3.15A), high breaking capacity, and precise protection of PT from overcurrent and short circuit damage;

Transformer/Line Protection (XRNT Series): High rated current (6.3-160A), suitable for short-circuit and overload protection of 24kV distribution transformers, lines, and capacitor banks;

Full scene coverage: It can be used for various medium voltage distribution scenarios such as indoor switchgear, ring main unit, box type substations, outdoor pole mounted transformers, rural power grids, and industrial and mining enterprise distribution systems.

Strict Quality Assurance

The 24KV HRC Current-limiting Fuse undergoes comprehensive testing including power frequency withstand voltage, breaking capacity, and temperature rise for each batch of products from raw material entry to finished product delivery, and is 100% qualified for delivery;

The product complies with domestic and international standards such as IEC 60282-1 and GB/T 15166.2, and has passed authoritative third-party testing and certification. It can be directly used in various power engineering projects worldwide;

Through high and low temperature cycling at -40 ℃~+85 ℃, wet heat, and salt spray testing, it is suitable for various complex environments such as plateaus, coastal areas, and chemical zones.

Core Functions and Applicable Scenarios

Core Functions

When a short circuit occurs in a circuit or equipment, the fuse will melt instantly, quickly cutting off the fault current, preventing the accident from expanding, and avoiding safety accidents such as equipment burning and fire;

When the load exceeds the rated current for a long time, the fuse will overheat and melt, protecting equipment such as transformers, voltage transformers, and switchgear from being burned out;

After melting, a clear disconnection point is formed, which meets the safety requirements for maintenance and does not require additional installation of isolation switches;

Main Applicable Scenarios

24kV Voltage Transformer (PT) Short Circuit Protection (XRNP Series);

24kV oil immersed/dry-type distribution transformer inlet side main protection (XRNT series);

Indoor 12kV/24kV/36kV switchgear and ring main unit with current limiting protection;

Protection of outdoor high-voltage power lines, branch lines, rural power grids, park power grids, and industrial and mining power lines;

Short circuit protection for reactive power compensation devices (capacitor banks, voltage transformers, dry-type reactors);

Protection of power distribution systems in industrial and mining enterprises, mines, and infrastructure construction sites.

FAQ

Q1: What is the difference between XRNP and XRNT series? How should I choose?

A: The core difference lies in the applicable scenarios and rated current:

XRNP series: small rated current (0.5-3.15A), specially designed for voltage transformer (PT) protection, with high breaking capacity, used to protect low current and high impedance voltage transformers;

XRNT series: High rated current (6.3-160A), specially designed for transformer and line protection, used to protect high current loads from short circuits and overloads.

When selecting, match the rated current of the fuse with the rated current of the protected equipment. Our technical team can provide you with a free selection plan.

Q2: What is the service life of the 24KV HRC Current-limiting Fuse?

A: Under normal operating conditions, the design service life of the 24KV HRC Current limiting Fuse is ≥ 20 years. It has been verified through accelerated aging testing that its long-term performance is stable and does not require intermediate replacement.

Q3: Can I replace fuses of the same specifications from other brands?

A: Okay! Our product adopts industry standard installation dimensions and can directly replace fuses of the same specifications from domestic and foreign brands such as ABB, Siemens, Schneider, etc., without the need to modify the switchgear, making installation convenient.
